Hi to all. I just joined & have some questions to ask about trucking jobs. I trained and got in a little over 1 yr. and am looking for work. So far I was accepted and hired on the spot with the first two companies I applied at, but then turned around and they said they had to turn me down. I found out my CDL had been cancelled and my med. card was shown as being expired. This information I got all corrected and taken care of so everything has been corrected and I have proof of everything. I've still been applying, but have been told by several more companies that when they pull up my info. it's still showing that my CDL and med. card is no good. I've called the state DOT and have been told several times that everything is updated and that my CDL and med. card is fine. The DOT has even sent me an email showing this information.
My question is, if these companies keep saying they are pulling up the incorrect info., how will I be able to find a job with a truck company? I don't want to have to go thru training all over again.
If any truckers out here have any good advice please let me know what I can do to get a job with a truck company soon. Thanks!

Put your location on your profile; that will help. Also put your question on the "Experienced Truckers" thread so more drivers will see it.

Send the companies the email the Dmv sent you

Contact Paschall Truck Lines & tell them the problem and ask if they can help. They will probably try to help solve the problem plus give you a job. Their trucks have APU's which is good.

More than likely the companies you applied to made a CDLIS request through DAC/Hireright and for some reason the CDLIS system hasn't updated your reinstatement. Did you get a copy of your MVR--certified if possible? Be proactive and ask the recruiter if you can send them a copy!

Hi thanks for your good advice. I was contacted by two companies & they did tell me to send them the e-mails, etc which I did, so I'll let you know if I get hired by one of them!

Hi Chinatown, I've heard from two companies & have e-mailed them my info. So far so good, so I hope I'll get hired by one of them soon! Also I will check out Paschall just in case & thank you!
