I'm not the smartest person in the world but, think it would be rather easy to do a simple verification of a company that claims to have 100 employees before cutting them a check for $500k?

My next door neighbor has a half million dollar waterfront house. He is some kind of DC lobbyist who organizes conventions. I asked him how business was and he told me he was busier than ever but took a PPP loan and only had to furlow a few employees. Over the past month or so I have watched him rebuild his dock, put a small addition on his house, and had a organic lawn care service turn his yard into a golf course. Suspicious indeed. Here I sit wringing my hands staring at his grass. Never seen a man who needed gov. help spend money so fast.
