Who cares how long it is? It is just team driving anyway. What are you actually learning when your trainer is sleeping.

Either you can drive or you can and often times those that can't are weeded out in the 10 days.

    AXE and ramblingman Thank this.

Supertruckers don't need training. They were born truck drivers.

And dont ever think you will see a regulation requiring a minimum training period. How on earth would the gubment be able to make money off it.

you do realize that 75% of all semi involved crashes are not caused by the semi?

How much training did you get as a 4 wheeler? zero hours behind the wheel is required.

The FMCSA enforces laws and dreams up rediculous new ones every year because our country is piss broke, has been for a long time and the trucking industry appears to them as an easy source of never ending revenue for the politicians.

The sad thing is FMCSA knows this happens and many other things that shouldn't be happening which I also pointed out to them in my letter. So unless FMCSA steps up and put laws on the training process, there is nothing the concerned ppl can do about it..I told FMCSA their laws are more about revenue then safety. If they were all about safety then the most obvious wouldn't be happening.

Yes I do and so does FMCSA that's why I told them their laws are flawed and more about revenue.I took a driving course in school to get my reg DL.

more laws will never make the roads safer...

Personal responsibility, and pride in ones self is what prevents accidents.
