10 meter radio or cb?

    l had a 200 watt 10 meter radio that would operate on 11 meters (CB band). It read the frequency and not channel numbers ie: channel 17 was 27.165. The down side is that l could talk to people but l couldn't hear them unless they were running a linear amp. (l have a general class)

    Yes you need a license to operate on 10 meters... However, I think most of the Drivers that are using the 10 meter radios are having them modified to operate on 11 meters, that's why you see so many shops selling the 10 meter radios..
