I'm currently working for them but quitting ASAP! Austower66 nailed it on the head. Like being treated like ####? This company is for you. To make a long story short, you'll think you're getting a nice home daily run that you can plan your life around and then they'll just change your schedule and give you no warning. They'll screw up your pay as much as $2,000 they owed me. I had to fight but I got paid for that. Then as soon as you make a plan to kind of live your life on your time off they change your schedule and they tell you you got two days to decide out of these five runs what you're going to do. Your time off they act like it belongs to them. And I think this company is going to go out of business they lost Memphis they lost their losing Knoxville they're losing a bunch of other terminals. Every time they lose the terminal they got to shift drivers around something new. In my experience with the dispatch/management team is you call with the pay problem they don't call you back they don't email you back they don't anything. Like the other guy said they're just a bunch of millennial kids chasing some p**** and f*** you and your job.
Speed_Drums, Lonesome and REO6205 Thank this. -
Austower66 pretty much has hit the nail on the head! I started working for them in March and here we are in September and I've experienced everything he said. They've screwed my pay up. They tell you you'll get paid one rate and then you find out you get paid another that is considerably less. They're losing routes left and right which means more senior drivers bump you off your run. This has happened to me two or three times now. You call your millennial driver manager who knows nothing about trucking to tell him that they're getting your pay wrong and they don't even call you back. I had to raise all kinds of hell just to get my $2,800 that they owed me. The issue with hoovestal Rico and all the family members running place in the ground sounds accurate too. You think you're going to get a nice home daily job but what they're really going to do is just f*** you every which way they possibly can.
Still undecided, Grouch and REO6205 Thank this. -
I saw one of their trucks around Chicago a couple of weeks ago and it's been a while since that's happened. They put a lot of thought and effort into chasing business away and it looks like it's paying off for them.

Ex employee: it feels better using that abbreviation ( ex ) kinda like I was married to them .
Lol
Well ok so where to start , at ( our ) beginning , it was pure perfection ❤️, I had a run going from West Palm to Jacksonville pull in to the.loves truck stop drop trailer and swap them head back to West Palm I did this 2 days a week skipped the following day and early 4 am I bobtailed to opa locka post terminal and hooked up to a pre-loaded trailer and headed back to the West Palm yard we had and gave it to the other driver , then I went home for the rest of week .
I had this run till the contract ran out. I got it in the ending of it so only had it a few months.
I didn't know it was a term limit contract at the time and I thought I hit the lottery it was THAT good.
Then I had to pick what was left in open contracts and I got the West Palm to Jacksonville postal yard , that was a drop n leave come back the next afternoon contract.
Pick up same place the night before, ( of all postal terminals, I found Jacksonville was the best ) . I was able to keep this contract the full time as no one with more seniority than me wanted it.
Otherwise they could have " Bumped " me off .
Then it was lost to another lower bidding company and I was without a run , my dispatcher got me shuffled around I had a few weeks in Orlando, they paid for hotel but I had to drive my car to get there .
That rout I would have moved to Orlando it was sweet .
But I knew I was only temp full for vacationing driver .
Then I got a bid on opa locka post to Tifton ga , that was a swap with a driver up there and I stayed over night in company trailer they rented all alone till morning, I had the whole place to myself, I loved this gig.
It lasted almost a full year as I was first there Christmas and last day there was two weeks before Christmas so just shy of a full year.
Was told my contact was given to another cheaper company that under balled 10 roads , so they gave me the option of Fly-in driver , where they fly you in to locations that needed drivers - OR - they will guarantee me unemployment, and with FLORIDA unemployment maxed out at ( get this ) 275.00 per week yes 275 a week is MAX unemployment in Florida.
Well you know what I did , yup fly in to salt lake City and got the company car and drive it to Rawlings Wyoming to a hotel, I stayed there for 3 weeks going back n forth to salt lake City postal and back to Rawlings Wyoming hotel and the relay driver continued on to Denver .
I went home time and then back but this time they sent me to Denver and that's the worst postal terminals I ever been to .
Did this run and I begged to go home , they sent me home and they had me going back to Denver and I was dreading it , and while at home I seen a contract going from West Palm to Atlanta stay 2 days layover and back to West Palm , and I jumped on it so fast I did it twice lol,
Well I got it cause no one wanted that 2 day layover, and I only had it 3 months and found out they closed the Jacksonville office for this company, and Atlanta was already closed before I got there only the bunk house and shop was still in operation.
Now it's December of last year ( 2013 ) and word is they are loosing all postal contracts to independent truckers , I used to have a hard time finding parking in Atlanta 10 roads yard , then slowly but surely, you could let a new driver that's never actually been in a truck with a trailer drive in that yard and he wouldn't hit anything.
It was that desolate.
Well All contracts lost , But 1 was given to 10 roads and all but one driver lost their jobs .
There used to be 10 roads everywhere, but now it's trying to find that last one or two trucks out there in each state .
When it was good , it was REALLY GOOD, but then came that new postmaster general.
Then it all went downhill for us .
I was there about 3 years my last day was February 22nd 2014, just a few months ago.
When I delivered the last load to West Palm drop yard giving it to the relay driver as I drove off in my car what would be my last time , yup I did , I admit it , I cried a little bit.
It was that good a job , and that's kinda why I started this with Ex Employee.
Instead of Former employee.
Sure it had problems, what company doesn't?.
But as far as them leaving You alone and all the freedom you wanted fuel if you want when you want where you want time off anytime you want they did it all .
this was the company of all companies .
And pay was always right and on time I never was messed with on pay .
I ended off taking my full remaining vacation balance 40 hours and last paycheck.
Oh also it was hourly pay at 26.54 ( my seniority) per hour on weekdays and 31.54 for the weekends at 5 dollars hour weekend bonus.
I have never worked a full 5 days per week here and I still made over 70 k a year each of the 3 years here .
Yup , that's why I cried as I drove off my last day . -
your about 10 years off.....
