I had a super10 and a lightning10 in some company trucks. I liked it. You could bump the shifter out and back in on splits and it shifted much faster. Never did tear any rears out of a truck with one that sounds more like driver error than a transmission issue snowwy :-/

    Snowy....please... this just isn't true.

    Mine does it to!

A super 10 is an 18 with two gears missing in the main box. It range shifts when you go from the center gate to the right gate, and only has 3 gears in main instead of 5.

As long as they weren't shifted into neutral at high speed, there was nothing wrong with them. Drivers who kicked them into neutral coming down ramps and up to lights soon tore the synchronizer out of them.

    Ditto!

final drive ratio will determine your cruising rpm's. I run 3:36 gears, 1,400rpm is 68mph, sweet spot in my DD60 14L. Tire size, too. What kind of loads you'll be pulling and the roads you'll be pulling them on - should be the starting point for making selections.

The 13 speed in my fleet is doing 65 mph at around 1200-1250 rpms. At 1500, well it's breaking speed limits for sure, lol.

I have Eaton Fuller 13 manual, 1,170,000 miles stll works great , I spent $ on 3 oil changes only . Works better than my last truck with 10 manual especially pulling heavy loads uphill or heavy in 55mph zone. I remember the 10 was hard to keep in proper gear /Rpm power driving heavy on 55mph in Ohio/Illinois when the truck limit was 55 and bears in every bush.
