I cannot stand company 10's There is nothing to them at all. Made for stupid drivers. Really.

13's now I can do something with them. I like the ones with the top two in under drives or the Mack 15.

If I come up to your truck and I found a 13 in it or even a 15 or 18 etc then I know the owner knows what to have in a tractor. That's a good thing. If I see a bland 10... I lose motivation to want to drive that POS. I do like the rockwell 9's but they need to be tied to unlimited tractors for best effect in powerband.

And as a final shot, hit Townhill south of Breezewood with a 350 and watch your speed drop from 55 down to 15 and grab the next gear to settle at 19 and then wait the next 5 miles before you get to the top with 80000 pounds while everyone else booms by at 50 loaded or roughly. You literally are in the way with that POS 10 speed.

Theres 10 speed direct and 10 speed OD. Direct tranny were designed to pair with a multi torque engine (1550/1750) or just 1550 and below. OD, you can have much horsepower and torque, but not perfect for hills/mointains. Gear ratios could be anywhere. Loses more time, more rpms between gears.

Well... you can bolt a splitter back half onto almost any main box. But there were some that were a "weird" one piece Fuller that theres no way to do that. So now we need to See the trans and then the model number, serial .

Back half that has the splitter,

This is true, but not exactly the cheap conversion the convertibles offer.

For around 6 grand you can swap that 10 for a 13. Did that 3 months after i bought my truck, best thing i ever did. This truck a completely different animal with a 13 in it. I dropped a 18913 in it, now i can turn my truck up. Truck was/is max power for the 10spd @ 475/1650. Only piece left to instal is a trans cooler, i’ll do that and turn up the hp/tq when i do my inframe next year.

Moved a lot of steel with 9, 10, 13, twin sticks in trucks powered by 270, 290, 300, 335 Cummins. 8V Detroit and small horse 3406 Cats. Now there is big power on the road with the same gears. :)
