I've watched vids of people even shifting a 13 speed. When you watch somebody shifting though the gears, it looks a lot more complicated than it really is, even on a trans you know how to shift. It just looks more complicated watching somebody do it on a vid.
Another thing that is weird with me, and I'm sure many other people, is I can shift without even thinking about it and never growl a gear, but if I try to think about it, I'll grind several of them, and I've probably been driving longer than some here have been alive.
I'd love to have a old Mack Quadraplex in a truck, the problem is they can't hold the torque of modern engines.

I know drivers using 10sp with. 3.23 geared rears get 8 mph consistantly with Paccar engines. They arent running 70mph more like 63 65 but 8mpg is what it is
