    Nope, just have put many miles on DD15's. Sorry about that last post, it was a little harsh so I deleted.
    But these modern engines, for better or worse, are completely different than previous platforms.

    Carbon is the number one enemy of any engine.
    Cummins knows this. That's why they made the ISX.

    They are made of a metal block with 6 holes.
    They are not much different. Only more wires.
    And many more ecms.

    The only thing that makes sense is the APU saves fuel.
    That is the only thing I will believe.

    It won’t hurt the engine as they are designed to operate that low. It seems the driveline would really take a beating though.Maybe not or too soon to tell? Haven’t heard much about excessive failures, so really can’t disagree. Never really know until tried and tested

    As far as Detroit ddec systems go each has improved but a lot of so called innovations I see are more of a hinderance. I’m curious how the driveline will hold up over time running the lower RPMs. Maybe just fine. Interesting subject to me
