I own a truck and work for not that great of pay for one reason. Lifestyle. I like being home every night with my family. I like the freedom of being able to take off whenever I want on short notice for as long as I like. I know working for someone I could make better salary than I do now, but I’d give up the lifestyle I like. Money isn’t everything.

    Well said.

I don't care if someone will pay me .55cpm.

    Why?

Because I'd be working for them, not me. @$@% them.

Not enough info to say yes, no, good, ok, or bad.
Is that for a true owner op with own authority, insurance, and trailer?
Ot a leased op, paying $2500 a year for insurance, no trailer cost or responsibility.
High fuel discount, paid tolls, and no or very little back office responsibilities?

For one in todays spot market not good.
For the other, not awesome, not terrible.
For one that 5k is 2k net, the other its 4k net.

    OldeSkool Thanks this.
