Pardon the Family Guy reference.
Toying with the idea of trying out a 102" antenna. It's supposed to be the perfect size for CB radio, right?
Right Channel Radios has one for $60 plus taxes and shipping made from stainless steel. A big radio skip talker told me recently he got his for about $20. I don't know what material it was made from, or if other materials are even available other than stainless steel.
The truck stops don't carry them, do they? I'd like to pick one up sooner than having it shipped home because I won't be home for two more weeks, and if I can possibly get one cheaper, that would be great!
Currently in Idaho headed west toward Oregon. Mostly drive Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Occasionally, I'll find myself in California and Arizona.

The reason Right Channels Radios is selling it for $60 is because of the over-sized shipping rate...If you can find them locally where you don't have to have it shipped, the going price for a 102" whip is around $20....(give or take)

I get by there about twice a year at most. Guess I'll have to order one. Amazon has them about $15 cheaper and free shipping.
