1099 FedEx for Contractor?

    DO NOT work under 1099! I can't stress this enough. You'll have no employee benefits and will be left holding the bag for all taxes come next April. And I don't care what anyone says, it's illegal. If you don't own or lease the truck you're an employee and should be paid on W-2.

    I'm now talking to a staffing / recruiting company Trillium Driver Solutions. They might hook me up with a more legit W2 job running a Class B truck around the city. Could be a good deal for me. I've had my fill of OTR.

    Just wanted to say thanks for the feedback and putting this 1099 lunacy in perspective.
