    There's a 9-foot bridge in Denver.

Know people who have driven the routes before. Also, several cities have low-clearance maps. Also, NEVER trust the GPS.

That bridge in Denver is a real can opener. I have seen several trucks accordioned up in that bridge. It is quite obvious if you arent stupid that it is too low but several people a year still get stuck in it.

So, here's some uncommon sense. I know it's hilarious to watch videos of this, but maybe next time someone drives through this place, consider asking the local government why the "DANGER! OVERHEIGHT! WARNING! VEHICLE DESTRUCTION IMMINENT!" lights are.... wait for it.....

    BLINKING YELLOW INSTEAD OF RED?

How many of you see a blinking yellow light and your brain automatically thinks "Oh, it's a normal traffic light and it must be after 10PM since it's flashing yellow or something" and drive right on through as if it were green? Likely 95%+.

I know it's the deep south and all, but COME ON, people can't be THAT stupid! Just change the friggin' color of the danger light from yellow to red and at the very worst you'll have some idiots who drive up to it, stop, look both ways carefully, and THEN damage their vehicle. But I can tell you from a simple physics standpoint, connecting with that bridge at <5MPH is a lot better/forgiving than hitting it at 20-40MPH.

I myself am far away and can't find any contact info, so I leave it up to you, CDLCitizens. Make it happen!

You'd think that after 60 accidents within several years they'd attempt to make some changes. Yes, it's still the drivers' fault because there's a sign with lights that flash (should be red - not yellow) if you can't clear the posted height, but maybe they should add more signs/signals or even an audible siren? It probably won't stop can openers at that bridge altogether but I'd be willing to bet that the number of accidents would be reduced. You can call those people morons and mock the situation because when you think about it - it is pretty silly not being aware of that huge, flashing sign but in the end we want everyone to be safe!

A few weeks ago there was a truck hauling a big forklift on a flatbed heading down the 10 West in Fontana and the forklift hit an overpass under construction. I'm sure some of you guys probably know what I'm talking about. Stay safe, everyone!

I would change the sign,,,,from 11'8" to 10'8". Maybe that would cause some truck drivers to stop and think before attempting to drive under the bridge.

You find this mentality everywhere in society. You just can't fix stupid. So don't take offense to this if your reading my post, the trucking industry doesn't have the market on stupidity its everywhere. Sometimes you just have to stop the child from putting the paperclip into the outlet. Even though it's funny to watch.
