I can tell you this. If it comes in my shop deleted, the only way I’m touching it- engine wise- is restoring it to factory.
Chassis work, not a problem.
But not touching anything on the engine.

He got his delete from an unnamed guy who showed up and collected money, not a shop. Even if he wanted to drop a dime, like what happened here, there is no one to drop on. Like any government interaction, don't talk to them. -

ECMs have software updates all the time and the engine manufacturer pays the bill. Not the customer.
