11 months in looking for recommendations

Driving local, Live in York PA
End of June I'll have my year in (what most companies seem to look for)

Do any of y'all have any experience with recommendations on who to try to get on board with once I have my year in?
Harrisburg/Lancaster/York Pennsylvania

I'm not real interested in the ltl line of work since I like to start 3-6am and ltl all seem to start 9-11am till your there multiple years and get your own run.

Any recommendations will be greatly appriciated .

Here's the only bummer. OTR companies ( most ) will not recognize local experience.

 

Funny thing is, how many LTL drivers have you seen that couldn't back it in, no matter how tough a spot?

This is very true.
I spent 7 years driving a rig into gas stations in SF bay area. In between pumps and in areas with no room for error.
Areas a lot of OTR drivers refuse loads to.
OTR companys offered me 1/3 of what I was making because I had no experience since I was a local driver.
I don't get how going straight down the highway for 10 hours is better experience but that's how they see it.

 

starting times around 3 (am or pm) are common in fuel hauling

I see they are always hiring wether because they are a horrible company or because people are just lazy.
I want to stay local, I enjoy being home every night. Respect to all you regional and otr guys!
