    Ok yes that is your VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR. Not what we are looking for.

    Your srs and trs sensors or related wiring, if anything is wrong with those the ECM will not fire the engine off.

    The srs sensor or synchronous reference sensor takes a reading every 360 degrees of rotation . This does 2 things. Tells the ecm where the top dead center is and how fast engine is spinning. Hence RPM.

    The timing reference sensor sends a signal 36times per revolution. This tells the ECM When to fire the injectors.......

    You see now how if the ECM gets a bad signal from either those two it will not fire the injectors....

    Now seeing as you replaced those sensors already a bunch times why dont you check the wiring going from ECM to both those sensors....

    Honestly if it was me, I'd buy a new harrness . Not worth the trouble. Plug@play your done.

    I'm still not ruling power/ground problems to ECM either but seeing as you have check/shutdown lights in dash at key on your probley fine there.

    Either way its electrical.

    I wish I had that kind of money. Lol. And this was not expected. Had money saved, but it really needs to go for fuel. There is a long wait once I get to work before I am paid. Not only that, this is a mail order town. You go to the parts store and say do you have this or that? And they say no but I can order it for you and I say no thanks I got a mail box too and it ain't got your 500.percent mark up. Lol. But also, I need to learn to recognise and the specific problem to be effective. And no pun intended because it was educational. If you know specifically what to look for and how to fix it, bam you are back on the road wheels turning. Not chasing a fuel ghost for days when that ain't your problem and I have no complaints. If I knew more about my motor, I would not have had to do that and it is motivation to become better educated and really I have been to the dealer who should have known, but didn't.

    Fair enough.... if money is tight there is nothing wrong with taking the loom off the harness and inspecting the wires.
    You might get lucky and and find some chafed wires . Just splice and fix it up for now to get you running. Or take the harness off that wreck you sent me a pic of if possible??? Just throwing out suggestions.

    Honestly if you are in a mail-order town then you should be in a farmer town is there not any Farmers locally that have series 60 trucks that could get you help?

    By the way. The fuel is buttoned up. I have been looking between posts for ecm power wires. I found 4. Big wires that go to the ecm waded up in the loom by the battery. There is one that splices and it goes to a hot bus under the dash between the seats. It has a 15 amp fuse. Fuse is good.

    Looks like a pretty good rainstorm coming in. Better button up for a while. I need to go get something to fix for dinner and am gonna stop in town and search for what ever schematics I can get my hands on as I have a printer in town. To fella talking about a farmer town. This is Wyoming and cow country. I got a few friends. We are all in the same boat. Lol. But what I am learning I will share with them also.

    Ok l good.
    But can't you borrow a ecm harbess from someone not using their truck.
    Not sure how far you are from Missoula as their are dealers their.
    And Casper seems to have a part holding Depot.

    Without some type of scan tool, it is hard to see if ECM will be commanding fuel injection. 96 model year could go either way if tach is ECM output or from speed sensor in flywheel housing. Is tach showing around 200 RPM cranking? If you have a noid light, you could pull the valve cover and see if ECM is commanding injectors by a flashing noid light.

    useally the ecm fuse is in battery box within a foot or so from a positive post. Small inline blade type automotive fuse.
