14L with egr delete. Mad power house and fuel efficient.

I run a 1999 Pete 379EXHD Ultracab w/ the BIG 70 inch Ultra sleeper. Sits on 270 wb. Powered by 12.7 Detroit. Its the rare straight 500hp/1850 torque engine. Backed by a 13 speed w/3.55 gearing. I get 7-7.5 mpg loaded ALL DAY LONG. Empty is 8-9 & bobtail is 11-12. When u have a big hood out in front of you, having a smaller engine that gets stupid good fuel economy is the biggest cool factor in my book...

We used to have an '00 14.0 L Series 60. It had over a million miles when we bought it. It pulled good. Burned through oil pretty good too.

We've put together quite a few build packages for Glider Kits with the factory reman 14.0L Detroit Pre-EGR motor, a much better comparison to a 6NZ than the 12.7L. Fuel economy is still better than the CAT but more power than the 12.7, great motor!
