12 volt cigar lighter connectors

I'm not sure why we're still using them.

I think it's time to replace them with something better.

 

A little electrical tape around the male plug will help keep the plug in place. especially on washboard roads. My major problems with most of the plugs suggested here were with the fuses. When the plug shifted or popped out it would usually blow the 3 amp fuse. I went through 10 of these plugs over a 12 month period. My cooler was the one device that gave me the most trouble. Finally switched to a higher rated fuse and it has worked well over the last six months or so. As plugs go I found this one online and looking forward to trying it out.
