There are constant updates for these engines. If the update is done by someone who doesn't follow all the procedures and skips steps it is very likely to corrupt the calibration file as it is being written into the ECM. These engines will run just fine and report no codes and show proper file software levels, but if they are corrupt you will experience low power as the engine runs in sorta like a default hp rating.
