Dont know why, i have 3 trucks i drive. My daily driver is a standard 8 pack, when i slip for our line haul guy its a standard 10, and my single screw is a super. I find it easier, and smoother

 

Not insulted at all just good conversation (not sure what that's says about us).

Kinda, but the 10's and 15's are in a different case than the 9/13/18's.

Yeah, the 13/18 are really three boxes in one: The 5 speed main with two 2 speed auxiliaries.

Depends on the tranny: The old RT's direct was forward, whereas the RTO and RTOO where in OD with the button forward. All the RTLO trannies (except the one 18 they no longer offer) are direct with the button forward, the only overdrive is in the main box. Everyone calls them 'Double-overs' because they have 2 overdrive ratios, but in reality, only the old RTOO's have two overdrive gearsets

True direct, the main and aux are both in direct.

They shift nicer because the Super-10 is based on a 13 instead of the normal 10 speed guts.

I forgot to quote whoever asked, but as far as stick against the dash: Almost all of the RoadRangers are 'turned around", but they all use the 'X' shift tower which reverses the position of the shifter in the top two gears. You could out an old style tower on them and have the stick up where it belongs!

 

Huh? Didn't know that, once the tranny warms up, #### you can shift fast, and it seems alot easier to skip up in a super than a standard. My only issue is when i run my super for 3 or 4 days straight, then jump to a standard 8 pack with the granny set... 2nd brrraapp 1 1/2? ####! Click, regrab 2nd...... pray nobody i know is near....

 

Seeing as you seem to know more of the mechanics involved, why does a super have no hi/lo? It automatically goes into high when you right of center, from 6 to 7. You can hear the air actuator when you move it over, so is it really 6 low and 4 high?
