Thank you, I will make sure they test that before they pull it off again

What pressure does a trans use?

What ever that regulator is set at. If I'm not mistaken it's about 65-70 psi. Not 100% sure exactly.

Just looked it up . 57.5 - 62.5 is what the regulator is preset at. Eaton does not recommend adjusting it , only replacing it.

I had a banging on shifts sounded like it was gonna crash or explode on a LKQ reman with a little over 1 yr. On it. It's a 13spd then banging / hard shift stoped now I have a rattling noise . it comes up the shifter put your hand on shifter and it quiets it down but not gone has new shifter bushing makes most of its noise in the 8H/L split range when stopped at idle in park can hear it a little if you push the clutch brake in and stop rotation in the trans it stops completely. Any thoughts?

So my truck was at the shop since friday afternoon but they didn't have time to do anything with the transmission.
I went there on Monday and replaced the pressure valve my self. I checked the pressure of the old one before I took it off and it was around 55 psi, when I installed the new one it was around 65psi. I'm not sure how accurate is the gauge I used, its from one of the mechanics at the shop.
The problem is still there, I did a test run and still the same thing happens, when I preselect to go from 5H to 6L occasionally it downshifts back to 5L as soon as lift my leg of the pedal, it doesn't give me time to pull it out...
I will have to take another week off in a while and have them pull it off and take it apart then...

Sounds like an internal problem then. Just shame to rebuild transmission if all it was your regulator but now you know.

SAR and Bean Jr. Thank this.

Is the tps going to 0 or close to it before you come off the pedal?

    Is TPS turbo pressure?
If it is, it depends, the gauge can not go done that fast when I'm shifting, specially if I'm hauling 62000 pounds of lumber on upgrade...

TPS is throttle position sensor. I’m just thinking maybe fuel is dropping off while you still have the pedal depressed a little.

Oh ok, I didn't know that.
I think that TPS is working properly because engine always reacts the way I press.
