    I'm glad the OP realized his turning point. It's another reason I enjoy being an O/O. I don't have to fight with dispatchers who conveniently forget my home requests or ask you to take "just one more load." When I feel the need to go home, I go.

    I've been living the road warrior life for a long time as well. Out 6+ months at a time. I've recently decided to start coming home more often, too. Once I get the new house built, I might even look into one of those local, home every night jobs.

    Until then, it's hard to find another line of work that pays as well as this. That's the catch 22 of OTR.

    Took me 13 days to realize I’m a home weekly kinda guy lol as it is I do 11,000 to 13,000 miles and 45 to 60 drops a month being out 5 days a week.

    I ran OTR and now run regional. I find running regional is more work and less miles. Always racing to make the next pickup or delivery. If I get home on weekend it usually only 34 hours off and that's really only 1 day. . My company has 5 day regional I thought about trying. I'm currently Kinda regional OTR. We go out maybe 700-800 miles at most
