How about some of you guys make a list of all the situations where I am allowed to veer into your lane and hit you. Situations where that would be YOUR fault. Because I can't think of any myself. And it might be nice to have a few just in case.

with the speed limit down to 45, and all the signs saying LEFT lane closed, the video shows what you're saying could be the intentions of the OP... "I'm just gonna keep my foot in it and come over at the last second"
That's the trouble with speed limited trucks these days...Rubber duck kw Thanks this. -

Everything the signs indicate the white truck should have backed his out. Is it right that the purple truck ran him over, no, but what do you expect to happen when you hang around the back end of somebody else while going into a construction zone. They're both stupid and should voluntarily take themselves out of the industry, neither apparently has the brains to realize when it's time to give up and hit the brakes.cjb logistics, booley and tinytim Thank this.

I completely understand your point, however the OP acts like he's innocent while the video shows he had ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD to just SLOW DOWN, follow and pass later...buddyd157, okiedokie, REALITY098765 and 1 other person Thank this.

We can debate intentions, and as I have stated there are things I didn't see on the tiny video, but I saw the collision, and that was one guy's doing. A left his lane and hit B. Ettiquette shmettiquette. I don't get to hit you for an inadequate display of ettiquette.

I know what I would have done if I was the guy in the right lane. Stayed in my lane. Slowed down , to a full stop if necessary, until I could change lanes without hitting someone. I've done it before and I would do it every day if necessary. Real easy choice. I never feel entitled to hit people.

I saw two knuckleheads who were to simple to get off the gas & fall back into line.
As for the Cammer, bud you had no business once so ever passing another truck leading up into a construction zone. You should have dropped back and allowed him to merge ahead of you.
As for the guy in the right lane, he should have slowed to 45mph. This would have been slow enough to make Mr. Billy Big rigger in left lane fly by & create a safe place once again.
Nobody wins in this scenario. It’s bad all the way around.
My question is was there any actual contact between the two trucks? I must have missed it if there was. Op you damaging your truck by running off the road is not his problem, unless he made contact with you. (You made the decision to go off roading.)booley, tinytim and Rubber duck kw Thank this. -
And that is exactly what the white truck should have done because the signs say his lane is ending and he clearly can't get around the other guy. The fact that the state put out the wrong signs really doesn't mean ####, it's a pain in the ### yes but it wouldn't affect anybody who approaches a construction zone with a little common sense.booley Thanks this.
