Dont need a permit for a 14 footer out here in the west. We have alot of them.

Take exit 205 and enjoy the scenic drive on loveland pass.

If your going to Denver, avoid I25 between Speer and the Sports Authority Field (Broncos Stadium) unless you're in the middle 2 lanes.

    RockinChair and rachi Thank this.

The bypass at the tunnel is where they turn you around to go back down the hill and take 6 around. Take some air with you, stop at the top of 6 and walk around the truck, you'll be sucking air.

That will of course vary depending on fifth wheel height and wheel size.

One can't go wrong with simply taking a tape measure to the nose of the trailer when empty.

A bit longer in the winter time, with snow and ice. I remember when Loveland was the ONLY way across for US 6. Of course you could chose Berthoud no 40 instead, but it would likely take you way out of your way.
