15 prostar Cummins isx high idle

    Left house today and went 90 miles to pickup. Put truck in neutral but it wouldn’t hobbled down below 800 RPM no lights. Except for hot exhaust light and smells like it’s doing a regen. Anyone ever deal with this. 15 Cummins isx

    I believe it’s just a passive regen unless it is stays in that mode most of the day. I’m having this issue now bigtime!! How did you fix it?

    Did you figure out what it was mine just did same thing won't idle down below 800

    this is normal.... the truck was doing a rolling regen when you stopped. It wants to finish the regen but after it sits for about 10-15 min the idle will drop back to normal and a few min later the high temp light will go out....
