The traction control light and ABS lights stay on on the dash. I ran a diagnostic test and it showed the wheel speed sensor on left side third axle fault. I replaced the sensor and cleaned the housing, but the lights won’t go off.

When you say third axle what did the code actually say? (neither bendix or wabco actually say 3rd axle).
If it said left rear that would be your left rear drive wheel, if it said left rear additional axle that would be for your left FRONT drive axle.

Also when you unplug the sensor check the voltage on the harness side of the connector (key on) it should be 4.7 to 5 volts if not check for a nick and corrosion in the wiring or connector. If the volts are good then its most likely a bad sensor.
