I will post some flatbed companies that hire new cdl school grads.
You can call the companies and ask if they hire from 160. Pretty sure they do.

You want CDL training & flatbed with NO contract? Just a loan agreement you can pay off even if you leave the company. Swift will do it, if you meet the requirements.ayaytc Thanks this.

Yeah, thanks. Swift was the first people I talked to actually. Between Academy and room and board, I’ll be paying twice what a CDL goes for at a lot of private school. Swift will cover the private school tuition anyway. Id just rather be on the hook for $4500 vs $9000.

Thanks again Chinatown! All these companies look good. 160 wouldn’t finance me so looks like Swift it is! Knowing that some of these companies reimburse new drivers up to $10k makes me feel a lot more secure about going that route. Makes me feel I can at least indenture myself to somebody else if my servitude doesn’t work out .
FWIW to anybody else who might be curious about 160, I got bad vibes from them just from my phone experiences. Representatives at the call center wouldn’t tell me what tuition was over the phone, branch office in Tucson was permanently closed, and all knowledge classes would be via webcam. Even financing: my credit score isn’t bad and I still wasn’t approved. -
What about white mountain trucking, I see those guys everywhere now.

Before signing the deal with Swift, contact Ashley Distribution. They bought Wilson Logistics dry van division and opened their own cdl school. Ashley drivers make around $90G a year. That's the amount a few of their drivers have posted on here.

They must have had a serious price increase then. Was around $3,900 loan agreement while back. But, their version of lodging is = 3 - 4 people in one room @ $500.00 + per head.

I did the Swift thing. It all worked out for me. Originally only planned on staying that first year, maybe two. But, found I like driving for them and I've stayed.
As a mega, I think they are one of the better options. But, with any mega, they only do a minimum amount of training. So, you have be on your toes to learn as much as you can as quickly as you can. You simply aren't spoon feed. You're expected to engage in the training and give it serious effort.
I always looked at it this way, I'm the one who wanted to learn how to be a professional driver. So, it is my responsibility to learn what I need and if I don't know something, ask and put effort into learning it.TB John Thanks this.
