While I'm definitely interested in seeing the end result, I can't say I have any particular fondness of the Astro... used an 84 for sod deliveries, and I do not miss it at all. -
What the truck looks like today. Has the replacement turn signal light on it and GMC Trucks Plate. Cleaned and vacuumed the inside today since it was raining.

Trying to find the 8 digit number for the cummins engine since the data plate is gone. This truck has all its original paper work. It was bought brand new in PA and for $53,000 in 1983. Lineup date 03/29/83. Skinner Pontiac-Buick-GMC Truck Co. It even has the dealership name witch I looked up and no longer that name but looks like a dealership still on image maps. Brand new pickup trucks cost way more then this truck was new now.

Well I just need a new Data plate. Cummins said if I can find the 8 pin number, they'll send me a new one.
Took off the manual hydraulic pump for the cab lift and put in the new window cover to keep out the sun. Made it my self. installed the GMC Trucks floor mats and just ordered the GMC white mud flaps. These are the original catalog flaps in my Astro book. Cannot find these anymore, Looked everywhere online, so going to get them made. Can't remember if GM quit making GMC named mud flaps on their large box trucks and switched to just basic black ones. Their large box trucks looked similar to a brigadier but wasn't one. Not sure when they quit making their box trucks either, probably sometime in mid 2000s. https://invimg1.autofunds.com/InventoryImages/2013/07/25/1638_342249_12357367_3252425252013.jpgAttached Files:
