That is a nice day cab, I was thinking of maybe using mine for local small box trailer delivers if can and bring out of being under classic title so it can still be in use if I ever get time to finish getting it fixed. It just needs the batteries and oil changed. What type of oil is best for the Cummins and how many gallons would a NTC 300 BC take? I alrady have 1 gallon of lucas to add into the oil.

Here is a few old movies I remember watching and also had the Astro in it. 1984 Beverly hills cop. . If I remember The Chevy Titan had this same body stripe color only it was flipped on Chevy.

1986 Maximum overdrive, watched this lots of time back in the day. http://www.imcdb.org/i029184.jpg
Never seen a KW K100 or International 9670 in this film" very common trucks to see" , even only 1 Pet 362 was shown, But a Astro made it into the film along with a Brigadier in back grounds.

Worked on the truck today and got a 4X7 1/4" thick metal for the mount of the new hydraulic pump and will fit on nice. Also bought 1 brand new battery from walmart for $99.00 - $105.00 total. unhooked all the old batteries and plug this one in and the power lights come on inside along with dome and indicator lights such as Low Air, fan vents even come on. Just need to change the oil and antifreeze and get 3 more batteries and should be ready for test starting. I could have gotten all 4 batteries and oil today but didn't want to spend all at once. Still need to know how much oil I need to get for the Cummins 300.

That's cool. Just Im the one with the crawls recalling one of those in particular during my time. It had nothing except the scream of that turbo to shift on.

Your pictures are pretty close to dead on. Good work!

My first truck- 1969 Titan 90 with an 8V71, 13 speed, R170 with a tag axle. Big injectors, 2,500 RPM, she was a screamer! Bought her about 1974, traded her in on a brand new Road Commode in November 1977.

Oil capacity depends on pan size. Should be 9-11 gallons. I'd dump 8 gallons, then start checking stick.

The one's with 350's where I was at took 48 quarts. They had a lube-refiner bypass filter, element #750. That is a black metal can, with a band clamp on it, look for one. Some the trucks just a bit older with less HP than yours took much less. It should start OK with 3 batteries as long as it's warm.

You did not ask but if it were my mine I would want to here it run before I spent money to possibly through it away. Grab a drain pan and an 1 1/4 wrench for the drain plug. Loosen it enough to see whats there. If it has a little water or anti-freeze hold the plug close to the pan and drain it off plus a quart or two.
On top of the fuel pump is a solenoid. Take the wire off of it, 3/8 wrench, add batteries and crank it intel you have oil pressure for 30 seconds. Hook the wire back up and start it.
