1985 kenworth w900b project

Mines a 1985 my pete is a 01 my cabover k100c was a 80

 

So off to try to get wiring situated. Anyone on and wanna give me a quick idea? Do i need to run a starter relay right away or can i run a jumper to the ignition straight to the starter?

One nice thing about spending 900$ on 3 books and a blown up electrical diagram is you can actually read things without trying to see if anyone actually has 40+ year old info on the truck online

C17SR which is the wire coming off the starter solinoid to activate it is

C- components
17- circuit number
SR- starter

Soooo now to figure out where the f that wire actually is....

 

Anyone have a idea on what these paint scheme would look like? My can interior is all blue outside is all blue now...

 

Boy. Had to go run to get parts earlier all my wiring equipment is in the peterbilt... the one at the shop 2 hours away. Got the starter figured out.

Andrew came over again. Cranked engine over had to use breaker bar to get motor unstuck a little. Turned over amazing.

Got the brake cans off in the rear axle, the bolt induction heaters are great tools. Makes life lot easier!

Got fresh oil in her. Wife facial expression tells you all about the fun she's having helping me today

But yes she runs. First time getting her to run and well she's burning carbon.

 

Can someone help with a fuel diagram? Is this hooked up correctly? I cant get fuel out of the left house of the fuel filter. Right side is pressurized when pumping. Cant get it to push fuel out the other end...

Oh wait im pretty sure i got hoses mixed up.. fml

 

Well shes running on 4 year old diesel no black smoke no ticking no wierd noises. Im happy. Had fuel lines on backwards had to go find old pictures of the other engine

 

How bad is that for the nozzles? I really don't want to drain 100 plus gallons of diesel. Figure a few filters shell be good
