1988 international 9670

I go pick up a new to me 1988 international 9670 w/ 3406b and 6+1 trans next week. I’m going to need some parts and was wondering if anyone knows of a salvage yard where I could possibly find some. Also should I fly or rental car over and drive back the 500 miles or just pay a step deck transport to haul it??? The guy wants $2 a mile to haul!!! Not sure which way to go. I really want to drive it back. What y’all think???
