It is a standard though and not too sure its a factory trans because it has 1-4 but also has a lo gear. Wouldn't that make it a 5 speed? Where can I get detailed info on the pump and how to turn it up? It already has a egt gauge and I wanted the water/meth to help keep egt down on long/heavy hauls. Not trying make a racer just a decent dependable truck that can pass on the hwy if needed. Also are there any know cruise control systems for these trucks? I get on the hwy and 60-65 is what I mainly do so cruise is heaven

If your pyro is running too high, improve the airflow via intake and exhaust improvements - increase airflow. You need to be sure you're getting adequate boost. Also, if the injection timing is too late, the EGT will be very high, even if you have good airflow and are not overfueled.

Exhaust is straight pipe and planning on getting a k&n for the intake. Is there any other mods for intake? How do I check timing?

Timing check requires a lot of labor and some highly technical procedures.

It's beyond the scope of our discussion, and any ability of mine to explain it hands-off. Sorry.

Don't get a k&n, they don't filter very good and it will kill your rings if you run in dusty conditions. If it were me I would get an air cleaner off a class 8 truck. I would also run a bigger turbo and larger diameter exhaust. I forget what is a good match for that engine but I think a Borg Warner s366 or s362 works well. After doing a turbo, water meth shouldn't be needed. Since its a standard transmission it should take all the power that engine can make without issue. Here is a video on turning up the pump http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2pJZbYuVHs

They have k&n filters for class 8 trucks. And how much is a new turbo?

Tiny lol, Seriously I don't see how its big enough for a stock engine. You want an s362 turbo. $650-1500 is what Ive seen them priced at. You may need some adapters though.
