I have 1998 T2000 with a Cat 3406e turned up to 550 HP. I am hauling gravel and need a lot of low end power. I need low gears.
I want to put in a different transmission. What are my options?

Every question regarding specing the right transmission is here.

Oh, and if you arent already running a 2050 clutch, toss a 108925-25 in front of that new trans, and make sure you get the eaton install kit K-2468(pilot bearing, clutch brake, fork, c/s bushings, new m/s(not sure if the new trans will have one or not)).

I am so new this i shouldn't even be doing it.
Can any of these transmissions go in my truck? -
I would try and talk to guys in the same industry as you, cant say as i have ever seen a T2000 pull a gravel trailer, but trucks do all sorts of stuff, so I've learned through the years. I imagine 10 or 13 speed would probably be sufficient with the properly geared rear end of course. And I'm not the right guy to talk to about that, I hope the reference material helps you in your hunt, if you look further in the pdf I posted there is also info regarding rears, steers, drivelines etc. Good luck, and if you have any questions regarding your specific chassis dont hesitate to ask.
