My mechanic thinks its a fuel problem in your experience with these engines whats the most common cause of intermittent power loss? Im still not getting any fault codes. (recently replaced boost temp and boost pressure sensor, made a difference at first and now its dogging again) thanks pablo

low fuel pressure, lower 1.2 BAR and you get fault codes and cyl. missfire codes.
Power loss is usually related with low boost, sensor is reliable thing, But EPG!!!! yep, stuck EPG! try to drive with disabled engine brake and may be you get no power loss! -
Will bad epg give codes? Where is it located

EPG is located on turbo, held with clamp
-
How can i test it to see if its working properly? Thank you
-
the easy way is to use compressed air. to be sure it fully open - remove it
-
Can I just leave the epg disconnected in the open position or will I have other problems
-
Yep, you can. if you disable air from EPG valve and solenoid is connected to ECU - no fault codes
-
Truck has power now, epg was never fully opening, thank you Pablo wish you were in the states
