Forgot to mention motor mounts. If they’re deteriorated you’ll still have issues.

Well I removed both cab mounts, and replaced only the driverside cab mount. The passenger side cab mount looked brand new. The driverside was dry-rotted and cracked a little around the edge. Tried to replace cab shocks but they’re so rusted they will need to be cut out.

Took it for a test drive, and the clutch feels tight. Get back and have to crush the pedal to the floor to put into reverse. Am I supposed to adjust the linkage??? Seems like some people say yes, some say No way, it will cause problems. Not sure what to try next?

Yes, you have to adjust the linkage. Ans yes, many say you should only adjust the linkage when clutch is new.

Me, i don't care what anyone says. Linkages don't come with 4-6 inches of adjustment to not adjust. You cannot account for all wear without adjusting the linkage, though it shouldn't be required every time you set the pressure plate.

    When new, absolutely

Well guys I took a little over an inch out of the freeplay (leaving me at 2 inch) in the clutch pedal via the linkage and driving/shifting it feels better. However the clutch brake did not move, meaning that I have to mash the pedal into the floorboard to get in/out of 1st gear and reverse. Hopefully it will work itself out or my clutch leg will get huge.

Thanks for all the ideas and responses!

I doubt it’s going to get better, only worse as clutch wears. Shorten it up a bit more. Right now you’re guessing. That’s OK. Best to get the 1/8” gap at forks. Clutch brake should fall into place. Also have a helper push pedal in, while you measure the clutch brake. I forget the exact size feeler gauge used, Business card works great. Should hold the card when pressed 1” from floor. Clutch pedal itself has an adjustment in the cab. Should be fine. Keeps pedal from going all the way to floor. All that said. Just shorten it up some.Try 1.75” first. Till clutch brake works good. Make sure you have at least 1 1/2” free play left. When I did mine with everything new. Final adjustments equaled 1 1/2” free play. Sometimes if they cut the flywheel to the max.spec it may need tweaking. In that case, you can increase the 1/2” gap at throwout up to 9/16”, to get the clutch brake to engage. or if needed, they have oversized 2 piece clutch brakes. 2 different sizes available. Sometimes they stack a couple stock brakes together. I doubt you’ll need any of that. Shorten it up till clutch brake works good. Keep at least 1/12” free play. Then every time it’s adjusted in the future, it will all work right. When you’re running low on free play, clutch brake might not work very good. That’s considered normal. Adjust clutch, good as new.

Was your distance from clutch brake to throw out bearing correct? As it wears, it will only get worse

Yes it was exactly 2 inches. I think I’m just going to have to adjust it more often.

I'm talking about underneath, clutch brake to TO bearing at 1/2". The TO bearing is on the left red line, clutch brake on the right. Should have 1/2" there. You may know this already, just tossing it in for reference

Yeah sorry I’m not thinking. So I measured it before with 1/2 in basic extension and it was 1/2 exactly. But I’m going to go through it again when it stops raining.

OK bad news, not sure if my stick fell off the 1st time, but I just measured it with the stick in. The best I can get it is 1/8 inch out (with the stick holding down the pedal. I have tried backing the adjustment bolt all the way out, and the furthest out is 1/8 inch gap with stick in.
