Excellent point street beater. Thankfully, our family has managed to just keep our debt to an affordable mortgage payment, and that's 'good' debt. We don't live in one of those 400k houses without furniture in the living room. My wife is able to stay at home with the kids, we support ourselves by my linehaul gig, and we can save around 1k a month. It's all about sticking to a budget, saving for the future, and living meaningful lives without the 'stuff' taking over. I'd rather retire early than have to work longer to pay off a little mansion.
1k/week net, local, weekends off

Here in CA. My son has my old job, he is actually driving one of my old tractors. Hmm. He pulls two loads a day out of Mojave (20 minutes from home, parks here), down to sputh central Los Angeles/ Each Load pays $165.00 (percentage pay 26.5%) plus detention time after an hour. Takes him 2 hours each way, 12 minutes to load and about 35 to 45 minutes to blow off the load at the customer. The bad in Los Angeles Traffic, He can miss most of with going down early, but delays from the customer can cost him the second load sometime.Hes been averaging 8 loads in 5 days. Thats #1320.00 not counting standby pay, if he is held up for HOS reasons they pay 20.00 bucks per occurrence for being out over 24 hours.
This would be in the cement industry, I dont know about NJ but its worth checking. Round trailers seem to pay better than rectangles.DesiTrucker and klaman Thank this. -
You can gross that but you have to work your ### off nd possibly saturday work if you are willing to do that well then you can do with Blackhorse carriers, A.Duie.Pyle, Conway double, Vitran Xpress, Jp Express, Costco, nice equipment, NEMF , Bettaway, New penn, Ward trucking etc

I work 6 days a week, usually making $230-320/night hauling fuel. I bust my butt to do that. I've had one check I netted $1,004, but they usually hang around $800-950 depending on how hard I want to work.

Tankers Tankers Tankers. I haul dirty water 6 days a week and net 1500 to 1800 before taxes. Very easy work and the guys who haul fuel are alot more. Just my .02 but we run all Northeast.
-
You mean you GROSS 1500 - 1800 before taxes. Net is after taxes. Just wanting to clarify.
-
Yea my bad actaully net is like 1200 on a good week

Whats the home time like? So on average you're bringing home let's so 850-1200 a week give or take? Looking into my options for when I come home. Going to take my hazmat test when I'm home for New Years looking to get into Holland Co out of adams but if not Goulet, and the company you work for are on the list as well as the other fuel guys I forget them. Something sons oh well.
