I always work just one shift. I start at around 5am and park by 7-9pm. I do my 14 in the US and my 16 in Canada.
-
See...that's the problem with you International types...trying to get 30 hours in a 24 hour day!!!!

I think us OTR guys are having trouble being serious with this thread!
celticwolf Thanks this. -

I basically run the same schedule everyday.
Places I deliver are only open 8 to 5 most of the time. -
I think Dover was in the wrong forum.
Yo Dover, come back and explain yoself. -
It really depends on personal preference. If you are into the 9-5 set schedual doing the same thing over and over again, you will naturally migrate to a set run, dedicated route. Its a set route which you will almost never deviate from. If you like day shifts you will naturally do all you can to run during the day. A lot of company drivers, expediter drivers ets, are constantly changing there shifts. I love it when I change shifts which does happen a few times a week, usually corresponding with pickups or deliveries breaks up monotony and lets me experience everything, but I have always preferred graveyard shift and most of the time can adjust my run, so I am on graveyard. About 10 at night to about 10 the next day. I love running this shift for several reasons. Less traffic, the few psychos are easily spotted being they are not in a crowd of traffic. Always lots of parking in the premo spots not the brutal crammed up ones that are a bear to back a rig into. Lots of open clean showers. You dont have all the pushing and shoving with the other big rigs ets. ets. I also like it because it maximizes my rollover or recap hours the best. I never take 34 restarts just work on my recaps. Recap hours come on at midnight whatever time zone you work off. So you get and early start on recap hours. I can usually park close to my destination in the morning previous to delivery or pickup then as soon as I pickup and deliver I have a full clock to run.
