Your lucky I got 15 over back in 2001 in Mansfield,pa on route 15 went to court with a lawyer and still lost all I wanted was to reduce it one mph but it was my own dumb fault had the cb turned down and my bel 890 turned off never did that again thing was worth its weight in gold
-
It is really hard to travel at the speed limit. I am in chicago and 294 is down to a construction speed limit of 45mph!!!!!!!!!! I do as close to that as possible...
Then they tell the trucks to use the left lanes which feels even more weird to be going that slow in those lanes.
But a clean record, and not having to scan every single turn or off ramp for a bear timing us, at triple fines, is very relaxing!
The fact that every other vehicle, 4 wheels or 18 is racing around me 10mph faster than I, is not!

Jeez at that the truth. I-80 between 55 and 39 is just as bad.

Call the County/City clerk and ask for a diversion. If you don't have a history of tickets, then they'll give you one.
Of course, having a CDL, you're not suppose to be allowed a diversion, according to the Feds. But the locals don't care, as long as they get the extra money. I got one for a speeding ticket last year, in my truck. My brother got one down in AZ a year or so ago.123456 Thanks this. -
I hope alabama and the kreeps(or whatever) law firm kept ALL the money and the feds didn't get a dime. What happened in alabama will be staying in alabama and off the OP's record. ALABAMA The Beautiful! just like the state signs declare!
just watch your speed OP thru construction zones PERIOD.That sheeit is not cool and the trooper,as that is what generally works that particular area, could have been a DOT.Alabama lets a lot slide on the wide open hwys so i agree w/them on speeding thru construction zones.it ought to be a big ticket.Last edited: Jun 29, 2012

Maybe they would then have to know that you violated the fmcsa and got a ticket masked. Then they have to deal with it.
I suspect that sometime in the future, there will be a move to link all tickets with a cdl to find if the diversion happened and then the fines reinstated.
Personally, not a problem for me.
Last speeding ticket I was 16. -
