My old boss and friend up here in Washington won't pull anything for under $4/mile. Local flatbed work, Washington and northern Oregon, home every day. And he's booked out every week.

150 miles per day and 300 miles per day with $4 per mile is very different money. I don't know why people keep talking about just rpm

I don't recall his mileage ( I could probably figure it out pretty easy), but his average day is about $1,200-$1,500.

    86scotty and DUNE-T Thank this.

I leased to a carrier getting 70% . Im avg 1.97mi to truck . After detention ($60 to 120 hr varies on acct) drop pay ($80 -100 varies on acct) layovers ($300- $500 Gordon Hormel accts.) YTD in 2019 I made 2.23 to the truck after fuel. Small mom pop company of 140trucks 59 of those are company drivers. Our lease purchase operators make same 70% . The rate on the loadboards are mostly $1 cheaper. Compared to our Contract freight. I see Spot loads from our Contract freight booking for 2mi. Same lanes paying me 3.53 . Our Kroger acct pays $80hr detention good luck getting that on spot market. You drivers need to get paid lease your equip to a carrier on % . Im working less more hometime and avg 3k take home @70% ill take that over spot freight all day
