The early thermisters had wires on the tiny thermister sensor
on the inside of the A/C system molded in plastic and the
terminals on the outside of the plastic. Over time refrigerant
would seep out around the terminals creating a slow leak.
The newer thermisters are made differently and do not leak.
Once they are updated and the connectors replaced they don't
 seem to give a problem.

	Good trick thanks

It's a different heater box and layout all together. It would all be custom work and therefore too cost prohibitive. Not something we do at the dealer level.earnies2 Thanks this.

I have gon through 3 sets of thermosters this year its frustrating....
I just got a computer with insite and Dimond logic on it I have no clue how to run either but I'll learn. I remember reading a post about a green and grey wires on the thermosters I don't recall any colors on the replacement plugs.
Could that be part of my problem?

Well first of all, I hope you are getting warranty on the parts. Thermistors don't last very long, but they don't fail like that either. There was a bad batch of them years ago so maybe someone is selling off very old stock to you. If you buy a set, they come with new terminals. They are really small and bad or broken connections here cause a lot of problems. The wire takes a sharp bend and weather sealing isn't the best so corrosion can easily set it. So using the proper crimping tooling and getting a good connection is very important for reliable operation. Polarity at the sensor doesn't matter. If you aren't installing this style, then you must be using something aftermarket I have never seen before. The green wire is the signal return to the body controller, the grey wire is basically just a ground. earnies2 Thanks this.

Heavy D , I’m having issues with the compressor ONLY working when hard wired. I have a code of SPN 2609. AC started blowing hot once it popped up. Could it be a bad (high pressure sensor) or low pressure switch?? PLEASE HELP. Thanks ahead man. You’ve helped me out for years now by just reading your highly mechanical inclined input!
