I was reading an article not too long ago it was talking about the avg salary of a company driver before de-reg, sometime in the mid to late 70s. It was 37,000. Today's run of the mill otr isn't really much higher at all. Back then 37k is like 90-100k if not a tad more.

Politicians didn't like that were doing the same if not more than them if you count in owner ops. Can't have these rednecks making more than us we gotta put a stop to this.
