I hear you, 1unascii. Hard to say if it's the DUI's or the no driving in last 3 years. I'm in the same position, minus the DUI's. I haven't driven truck since April 2020. I'm ready to get back out now but finding many companies don't want to hear from me if I haven't driven 1 year of the last 2, or 2 years of the last 3. I have 9 years trucking experience, which seems to count for nothing. A huge other limitation is not wanting to drive a cab that has a driver-facing camera. I won't do that unless it's the last option available. Advice I got from someone was to work for say, Hogan, Werner or Schneider for the one year "new" experience and then apply to wherever you want. (Hogan & Schneider have driver-facing cameras.)
