    I'm trying to understand the market value curve vs time of an OTR truck. Is it like an automobile? Where most depreciation takes place in the first 1-2 years? Or do they depreciate in a more linear fashion?

    Please, no guessing. Looking for hard facts. Thanks.

    Haha "choosing" wouldn't be exactly what I would call it. I jumped on a 2015 cascadia. Not a whole lot to pick from right now. Schneider has a real shortage of both new and used cascadias right now. There may not be any new cascadias for a couple months, and there are only a few used ones that have low miles. One of the premium trucks just isn't an option for me right now. This first year is all about building up a big reserve for me, then next year I will consider a "nicer" truck if I've done well enough to justify it.
