I have had a few U's and dislike them. Its almost you needed to add two feet to anything you were doing. I think the engines were about 240 horse and god only knows what torque out of those things. But they will wind all day to 2400 and stay there the rest of the week if need be disregarding the pyro and temperature gauges. Pyro in particular. Ive pegged a few with those tractors at 1500F for hours.

And they simply just wont die. As far as I am concerned the old macks can live forever.

But the best one would have to be my favorite superliner 500 with the v8 and 15 speed. Not fast but she will handle whatever comes in terrain. Once in a great while when everything is a good day me and my foreman in his little international would some racing. Bossman one day was sitting atop of a 100 foot grasshill of about 30 degrees or so. We drove off the road together right up to him. Having to stop before hitting him at the top. Who needs roads HA.

Any number of neurotic fleet managers or owners would have fired us a thousand times.

There is an old western star up here that goes by fugly. It would likely get mad iffen a mack tried to take over it's mane. lol
I had a farmer friend that had a u model for a few years, he called it humpty dumpty for some reason. lol
