2 weeks notice

Go home, clean out truck. Then call, give two weeks notice. Travel light and have bus fare. You're probably done as soon as you hit the company yard and they have their truck back, so be prepared. Take pics of truck too so you can prove it was returned in good condition.

Truck companies aren't used to two week notices, they're used to abandoned trucks.

 

Tell them you need week off for personal matters.go check other company out .If no good have job still.if good just leave

 

Go out the door the right way and they'll always be glad to have you back. Never burn bridges behind you, because you never know.

 

I've worked for a couple of companies that if you gave a two week notice they would fire you on the spot. That's no big deal if you already know where you're going.

 

this question (or variations of it) has been asked so many times, if i had a half penny, i'd be a trillionaire.

that being said, i will respond with my usual thought..

when i quit, i quit and never return...if i liked the job, i'd not have quit, and things are not always better the second time around.

i give NO NOTICE, i figure that in those 2 weeks, THEY will notice i am gone.

when they lay you off, they very rarely if ever, give YOU 2 weeks notice.

if they fire you, they NEVER give YOU notice.

some will debate this issue, i don;t, and i always get jobs.

do as you wish, not what the general consensus is...

but if YOU quit a job, then GO BACK, be prepared for a second go around of the same ole, same ole, you tried to get away from..

i think that's called..."ground hog day".....

Exactly. They give zero notice so why should I?

 

I'm surprised, I've been treated quite well since my 2 weeks went in. I'll see how the last couple days go.

 

I don't think they really care. They have enough drivers coming in to fill the seat... I think they are just happy with getting the truck back to a terminal for the next fresh meat to put in the truck....

Thats how it was when I quit. "Hey, route me in, I'm done."
