this has been one of my arugments with the entire "we are on elogs, we drive legal" crowd
NOBODY DRIVES LEGAL
because legal means NO MONEY
from the time you leave your home till the time you return, unless you are in the sleeper, you are onduty (or if you actually LEAVE THE TRUCK)
most of the elog companies are using their drivers just as they did before elogs, making them not be paid for all that on-duty not driving time and the sheeple eat it up
2 weeks running straight....hos?????

autocar seems to be the man when it comes to understanding these HOS, i would defer to him

I dont make up the rules, as you just said, they may have changed the interpretation of the rules
thats the funny thing about all of these rules, they are subject to interpretation and revisions over and over
one year, five hours in the sleeper is enough, the next year, it has to be 10, the next year 16
you keep trying to keep up with their rules that they dont even understand or believe in
i drive for me -

Yet another thread with a simple conversation turned into a finger pointing pissing match

cuz ii'm pretty sure some cop would think otherwise about you driving cross country OFF DUTY.
even i logged my time bobtail from utah to boston. to bring back a tanker trailer the company just bought. and i'm kinda surprised i didn't get hassled about the trailer having no plate or inspection.
but i would think it safe to say. elogs or paper. we're all driving illegal when it comes to that link posted above.Dinomite Thanks this.
