this has been one of my arugments with the entire "we are on elogs, we drive legal" crowd

    NOBODY DRIVES LEGAL

    because legal means NO MONEY

from the time you leave your home till the time you return, unless you are in the sleeper, you are onduty (or if you actually LEAVE THE TRUCK)

most of the elog companies are using their drivers just as they did before elogs, making them not be paid for all that on-duty not driving time and the sheeple eat it up

Who do you drive for ? Our drivers run legal and take home over $1,000 a week . Brush up on the regulations . You can now be off duty resting in a nonmoving CMV . We also get detention time .

Any carrier with e-logs can edit any time except driving time but the edit is recorded so they better be able to justify it .

And here you have it right here
Members posting in this thread say they log sleeper while being loaded or unloaded . Could they not also log of duty while resting ? Can you not be resting while in readiness or waiting ?

DOT in Maine was giving tickets to guys coming out of Walmart for putting their time as sleeper berth when waiting

I dont make up the rules, as you just said, they may have changed the interpretation of the rules

thats the funny thing about all of these rules, they are subject to interpretation and revisions over and over

one year, five hours in the sleeper is enough, the next year, it has to be 10, the next year 16

you keep trying to keep up with their rules that they dont even understand or believe in

    i drive for me

Were those Schneider trucks ? The DOT was probably retaliating for something but they should fight those tickets.

i'd like to know how. other then personal conveyance or drivcing a vehicle and trailer you just bought and are not for hire.

cuz ii'm pretty sure some cop would think otherwise about you driving cross country OFF DUTY.
even i logged my time bobtail from utah to boston. to bring back a tanker trailer the company just bought. and i'm kinda surprised i didn't get hassled about the trailer having no plate or inspection.

but i would think it safe to say. elogs or paper. we're all driving illegal when it comes to that link posted above.
