    3 drivers make up a 20/10 team, but only 2 are on the truck; the other driver is taking 10 days off.

    Essentially it is a 3 person rotation; every 10 days one driver gets on the truck while another gets off.

    So, in my case I drive for 20 days and have 10 days off. The schedule looks like this:

    • My 1st codriver picks me up at home to start my 20 days;
    • I drive for 10 days with my 1st codriver and then drop them off at home;
    • Then, I pick up my 2nd codriver and drive with them for 10 more days;
    • Finally, I get dropped off at home for a 10 day break.

    20/10 is a very relaxing driving schedule because it gives drivers plenty of time to unwind at home (10 days); and when you are on the road you only spend 10 days with each of your codrivers--once they get off the truck you won't see them again for 20 days. All this makes 20/10 driving a great way to minimize stress and maximize the joy of driving.

    Simply, while we are on the road we rarely sit.

    When I drove 2 person teams I found myself sitting for a couple days each week. so over the course of being on the road for 4 weeks I would spend about 8 days sitting.

    With 20/10 we are on the move and instead of sitting at truck stops 8 days every month I can spend that time at home.

    Depending on your rate per mile, figure on driving about 16,000 miles a month as a team.

    Of course the miles are split so your pay is based on 8,000 miles.

    Lol yea let's say .22 cents after split x 8,000 div by 4 that's 440 a week before taxes. Crst is a bad company most will pay 32-36 for 1 year exp lol

    LOL, that's true if you have no experience.

    But in your case, you have been driving for 2 years; so, you'd be making up to .39 cents working at CRST that's $780 a week (or, $3120 a month plus 10 days off in a row)

    BTW, after 6 months with CRST the rate increases to .31 cents/mile. Not bad for six months of experience.
