My truck loses horsepower intermittantly, like the engine is being derated. I finally got a 259 code when I flash it. Yellow lights comes on before symptoms occur and red stop enginelight comes on with significant loss of power. I thought summer fuel cause problems at the start of winter but have changed all fuel/air filters. I was wondering what fuel shutoff valve could be causing, if there is anything I can check. The truck works fine other wise, as far as starting/stopping, and no load conditions. Just wondering if anybody had any ideas.
    Thanks.

It is possible the fuel shutoff solenoid is getting stuck but that is usually a mechanical fault more than electrical I would say remove the shutoff bolts and remove all the little parts inside clean the edges with scotch brite and brake cleaner also clean the paint off the solenoid where the bolts mount as that's where it grounds try this first it's easy and really cheap and there is a good chance it would take care of the issue
