2001 FTL Classic Speedo not working

My speedo head stopped working. I replaced it and the VSS sensor. Still didn't work. I direct wired the VSS sensor to the speedo head. That didn't work either. I'm getting nothing. The VSS is a single feed (2 wire). The single lead goes to the ECM, which sends a signal to the Speedo. Cruise is working, Tach is working. The Jake brake acts a little weird, sometimes. Cuts in and out on a slight downhill grade. Engine is a Cat C15.
