Is there anything special about it that I must know before I attempt to replace them on my own?? Thank you.
Already ordered all replacement parts.

Since your truck is 2001, the tanks should be mounted on two metal "bars" that hold them up to battery box,
the only thing I would be concerned is that this "bars" are thin and might be corroded and brake when you loosen them up to push the tanks out
if so you might have to use strap or something to hold tanks up to the battery box in a meanwhile you order the metal straps
other than that I didnt have any problems replacing them
Good luckilia1971 Thanks this. -
Drain the air systems, be very careful. Get some bandaid, cut knuckles go with the job.

Thought of using straps to hold them up, also purchased new steel straps and T bolts / bars, thanks buddy

I would replace anything questionable, if you have to ask Hummmm, then replace it. Including nuts and bolts. Locktite everything.
